Who We Support

2010 marks the three year anniversary of Metta Journeys’ inaugural trip to benefit Women for Women International (WfWI) in Rwanda. Rwanda is on a fast-track to development, and our partner, WfWI, is an important contributor to the substantial changes we've noticed since our first visit in 2008. WfWI mobilizes women to change their lives through a holistic approach that addresses the unique needs of women in conflict and post-conflict environments. Join us and become involved with their program as they (and you) help previously under-served women become active members of their communities and learn income-generating skills to support themselves and their families.

What Travelers Say

Comments from travelers on our Rwanda journeys:

"...we saw things/met people that wouldn't normally be possible on a tourist itinerary."
- Melissa C.,Patterson NY, USA, 2009

"I am so blessed in so many ways, I am grateful for the education and how informative everyone was, I feel like I know so much more about Rwanda now and feel the people in my heart and soul. I feel like my heart is still in Rwanda, but my body is here."
- Kathy K., Carlsbad CA, USA, 2009

"I would ask that you just keep up your concern and personal attitude toward each of us. I felt special - like you care about my personal well being."
- Yvonne S., Alameda CA, USA, 2009
