Connie Beaudoin
In 2010, Connie joins us in Rwanda for the second consecutive year (and her third as a Metta Journeys traveler!). Connie has been teaching yoga and meditation since 2001. Her classes consist of an active yoga style that integrates elements of the Astanga, Tantra, and Iyengar traditions of yoga, as well as a restorative style (Yin Yoga), in which poses are held for long lengths of time to enhance the flow of prana (energy) and encourage healing. Connie will also be leading Vipassana meditation classes aimed at quieting the mind and refining awareness.
Connie's teachings are influenced by Sri Ramana Maharshi, as well as Sarah Powers, Richard Freedman, Rod Stryker, Shiva Rea, Sharon Salzberg, Jack Kornfield, and Roshi Joan Halifax.
Connie is the founder and owner of Parasutra Yoga Shala in Palm Beach, Florida. She teaches privately and also offers classes, workshops, and retreats locally and nationally. Visit her website at www.parasutra.com.
